Dear NRDC Action Fund Supporter,
During her acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, Kamala Harris inspired Americans across the country. She is fighting for our freedoms, in her own words: “Many other fundamental freedoms are at stake…the freedom to breathe clean air and drink clean water and live free from the pollution that fuels the climate crisis.”
I don’t know about you, but I came out of the last four days even more certain that Vice President Harris is the climate champion we need in the White House. She’ll help confront the climate crisis in a way that makes the country more inclusive, more economically competitive, and more energy secure.
But whether she gets that chance or not depends on how hard we work to turn out pro-environment voters between now and Election Day.
Help keep the momentum going! Sign up to volunteer to help reach voters in battleground states and districts.
Trump was by far the worst climate president in U.S. history—and if he’s elected again, he plans to pick up where he left off. If there’s one thing we know for sure: we’re not going back.
Back where? Back to a White House that couldn’t care less if our kids breathe clean air or drink clean water. Back to extremist, climate denying, radical plans to make it easier for corporate polluters to pump toxins into our air and water. Back to an administration that sides with Big Oil billionaires over working people.
If we don’t want to go back to those days, we need all hands on deck. You can do your part by signing up for an election volunteer shift today.
Elections are about the future. They should be about creating a brighter, more hopeful one for us all—not destroying it.
Will you sign up now to help create the future?
Let’s get to work.
