Over 20,000 Democrats converged on Chicago this week, and millions more watched at home, to nominate Kamala Harris and Tim Walz at a convention unlike any I have seen before...and I've seen a few.

There is always a burst of enthusiasm, but nothing quite like this. The party moved like lightning to come together with urgency, enthusiasm, and excitement. Together, we can achieve the trifecta: control of the White House, and we might just get a real majority in the House and hold on to the Senate, too. Six weeks ago that didn't seem possible, but now it is within our reach.

There is a resounding recognition that it is time to put Donald Trump and all that he stands for behind us.

We are ready for a new direction – one that upholds democracy, enforces the rule of law, takes care of its people, and shows kindness, compassion, and leadership.

Kamala Harris and Tim Walz are the team that's going to get us there.

So much is on the line in this election. But if we all knock some doors, make some phone calls, and talk to friends and neighbors about what is at stake, we can win the presidency, the House, and the Senate.

A livable future is within our reach!
