The 2024 Democratic National Convention has officially come to a close, and wow, it was an incredible four days!
The energy in Chicago was so electric, with Democrats (and even some Republicans) from every corner of the country coming together to rally around Vice President Kamala Harris and Governor Tim Walz. United, we’re moving forward, NOT going back.
I had such a blast attending the convention, meeting with delegates, organizers, and voters, and spending time with inspiring local, state, and national leaders like U.S. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg, Tennessee State Rep. Justin Jones (pictured here with my wife, Mia, and labor icon Dolores Huerta), and U.S. Rep. Jasmine Crockett of Texas.
And of course taking many, many selfies!
This election cycle has truly been a whirlwind, but I can confidently say our party is reinvigorated and we are ready for the fight ahead. As we wrap up convention week, I feel more hopeful than ever that we will stop the dangers of a second Trump presidency, make history by electing our first Black and Asian American woman president, and set our country on the path to a bright future come November.
But we can’t make any assumptions or get complacent now — not with only 74 days until the general election and so much at stake.
