Last night, Kamala Harris took the stage at the Democratic National Convention to formally accept her nomination to be our next President of the United States. I was honored to be there to witness this historic moment.
As Harris stated, “In unity, there is strength.” Now that the field is officially set, it is time for everyone to come together and get to work to defeat extremism and pave a new path forward.
Kamala Harris and Tim Walz are the team that will fight for our American values. They will protect the right to choose, ensure opportunity for all, and fight to ensure that everyone in our nation has a voice. On the contrary, as Harris stated, “Trump is an unserious man,” but the consequences of his presidency would be “extremely serious.”
We cannot take this moment for granted. We need all hands on deck to ensure Kamala Harris wins in November, and we need to ensure that she has strong Democratic allies in Congress who will help make her vision for our country a reality.
