I hope you and your family are well! I wanted to provide you with a few updates regarding what’s going on –
South Carolina's Savannah River Site
Development at Savannah River Site (SRS) is moving forward thanks to my nuclear reform bill, S.870 Advance Act, which recently became law. SRS has the potential to provide South Carolina with:
- a strong grid by adding a massive clean energy source
- a boost to local economies with an influx of good-paying jobs
- a cleaner environment by recycling legacy nuclear waste
As we support projects like SRS, America will regain our position as the dominant nuclear force in the world.
National security is dependent on energy security. The recycling of spent nuclear fuel is a first step of the coming Nuclear Renaissance.
This is key to stopping our dependence on adversaries like Russia and China and will restore American energy independence.
Bidenomics and Kamalaflation
“Day One” was January 20, 2021. Joe Biden sworn in as President and Kamala Harris was sworn is as Vice President.
What happened “Day One” of the Biden/Harris Administration?
Inflation began increasing. Energy, which is foundational to everything, began to get more expensive, driving inflation. The Biden/Harris Administration began its War on Energy with the cancellation of pipelines (like Keystone) and stopping leases on the Outer Continental Shelf.
Their “Day One” began the hardships that Americans have felt for 3.5 years.
Don’t be fooled though, the Biden/Harris administration can reverse these drivers of inflation TODAY!
Biden-Harris Border Crisis
Border Czar Kamala Harris has failed since day 1.
As Joe Biden’s Border Czar, Kamala Harris has failed to stem the border invasion. Kamala’s record is 10 MILLION illegal immigrant encounters across the country—8.2 MILLION of those were at our southern border alone.
There are around 2 MILLION known gotaways that we don’t know who they are, where they are, or what they plan to do. These can include terrorists, human traffickers, or cartel members.
If you are given a job and don’t show up to the office or get the work done, you should be fired.
Joe Biden made Kamala Harris his Border Czar in March 2021. She has only been to the southern border 1 time since then. The Bidden-Harris Border Crisis rages on.
Kamala Harris should be fired as Vice President.
Lost American Jobs
Biden and Harris claim they are bringing in jobs for Americans, but reality just hit Biden/Harris with a truth bomb.
The economy is crumbling and 818,000 jobs were not created—forcing Biden/Harris to go on record for the largest decline in job growth since 2009.
With Biden/Harris failing to create real jobs, it’s no wonder unemployment has risen to 4.3%.
Try That In A Small Town
Pro-Palestine extremists in Chicago are in the streets burning the American flag while calling for America to be burned down.
Meanwhile, I have someone calling my Office to say Hamas, the terrorists who behead babies and want to wipe Israel off the face of the earth, stand for freedom.
Our country is in trouble and I fear for what the next generation will endure from radical extremists.
Biden Impeachment Inquiry
The Ways and Means, Oversight and Judiciary Committees have released a 291-page report based on their investigations into misconduct by Joe Biden.
The report is in, and it confirms what Americans know: Joe Biden should be impeached!
Read the report for yourself and I will highlight important details below:
The Biden Impeachment Inquiry Report shows a “conspiracy to monetize Joe Biden’s office of public trust”— a get-rich-quick plan by the Biden family and their associates.
Over $27 million has been secretly funneled to Biden family business or shell companies to hide the payments—included laundered money from China. Joe Biden knew what his family was doing to use his position as Vice President to bring in millions of dollars.
It shows Joe Biden used his position as Vice President to directly benefit Hunter Biden’s business deals with enemies of America like Russia and China, as well as other countries.
Remember when Biden said he wasn’t involved with Hunter’s business? Guess what, Biden “met or spoke with nearly every one of the Biden family’s foreign business associates…. As a result, the Biden family has received millions of dollars from these foreign entities.”
It shows Joe Biden’s family manipulated benefactors to receive $8+ million in loans that have never been repaid—making the Committee question if these were “gifts disguised as loans.”
It shows Biden’s two-tiered system of justice is real. The Biden DOJ and FBI gave “special treatment” to Hunter Biden because he was the President’s son. The favoritism shown to Hunter Biden was not only “unusual” and “unprecedented,” but it also was “benefiting Hunter Biden.”
Hunter should be brought to justice.
It shows the Biden DOJ “misled Congress about the independence of law enforcement entities in the criminal investigation of Hunter Biden.”
There was a distinct conflict of Interest but none of that mattered to Weiss or the Biden family because the administration was focused on protecting Hunter—the President’s son.
It shows Joe Biden’s White House “obstructed the Committees’ impeachment inquiry by withholding key documents and witnesses.”
As the House shined the spotlight on the Biden Crime Family, the White House did all they could to fight Congressional oversight that the American people demand.
Legislative Action
I cosponsored Rep. Nick Langworthy’s H.R. 9373, which ensures that illegal immigrants who commit criminal acts or acts of terrorism cannot be released from jail on parole.
I cosponsored Rep. Adrian Smith’s H.R. 1770, which allows Medicare beneficiaries to have access to essential care and services by their local pharmacist. This will allow pharmacists to provide immunizations and other vaccinations for senior citizens under Medicare Part B, if they choose to participate.
In the District
Attention fellow bow hunters! Pickens County will hold a raffle on August 26 at 10am for 4 bow hunting spots. Good luck and happy hunting to the winners!
Anderson County broke ground on a new $83 million Detention Center to replace its current 1955 Center. The updated layout will provide more airflow as well as house juveniles, federal prisoners, and women.
Sheriff Mike Crenshaw of the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office announced they will be changing their 12-year-old helicopter program into a new drone program to aid in faster searches. The department’s current helicopter will likely be transferred to the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, who could still provide helicopter support for Oconee. These new drones would offer infrared technology, plus they boast a more efficient takeoff time than helicopters.
