1) Bye Bye Right to Work?
It could happen as early as January 2025. This is no false alarm.

Kamala Harris and Tim Walz have fully endorsed the so-called PRO Act. They've even told the teachers' unions and other labor bosses that this will be one of their highest priorities.

We've argued that the PRO Act will effectively repeal popular Right to Work laws in some 26 mostly red states. Some of our liberal friends have cried foul at this characterization. But the AFL-CIO even ADMITS that right to work would be repealed and forced unionism would become the law of the land:

We believe the labor laws should be rewritten in such a way that nonunion workers are exempt from collective bargaining agreements and only dues-paying union members would be covered by union contracts.

This would solve the free-rider problem that union officials justifiably complain about – and everyone's freedom to choose is protected.

2) Kamala Proposes $5 Trillion in New Taxes – the Biggest Tax Hike in the History of the World

We've argued that Harris-Walz is the most anti-business ticket by a major presidential party in our lifetimes and perhaps in American history. And we said this BEFORE we saw the new tax plan.

Instead of lowering tax rates to make America more competitive, it raises nearly everyone.

The Harris tax plan would:
* Raise the corporate tax from 21% to 28%
* Quadruple the tax on stock buybacks from 1% to 4%
* Double the global minimum tax from 10% to 20%
* Raise the top Income tax rate from 37% to 39.6%
* Raise the corporate alternative minimum tax from 15% to 21%
* Raise the capital gains tax from 24% to 43.5%
* Impose the first-ever tax on unrealized capital gains at 25%
* Double the number of Americans subject to the death tax

The compounding effect of these multiple tiers of taxation would mean that a $100 investment in a new company could be subject to an 80% tax rate.

3) President Kamala-Warren?

We're asked nearly every day – who is really writing this wacko economic agenda for Kamala Harris?

No one honestly believes that Kamala understands her own agenda - as her speech last week endorsing price controls demonstrated. She called her plan "price gaging" not "gouging."

It turns out most of the radical economic ideas are coming from Senator Elizabeth Warren of MA.

Robert Kuttner, the editor of the radical American Prospect magazine, bluntly says ([link removed]) that "both Biden and Harris have one great thinker and political strategist in common, and that is Sen. Elizabeth Warren."

Some of Biden's most anti-free market appointments came from Warren-world. The list includes Rohit Chopra, who heads the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, which was Warren's idea, and FTC Chair Lina Khan, who has run wild with antitrust lawsuits – but keeps getting slapped down by the courts.

Kamala's much-derided plan for price controls was directly inspired by Warren's recent Price Gouging Prevention Act, which would authorize the FTC to enforce a federal ban against "excessive" price increases.

Can anyone think of a worse mentor than Elizabeth Warren?

4) 67 Times More Jobs are Accessible by Car than Transit

Why do the Democrats keep wasting tens of billions of dollars a year on government buses and subways that no one is riding?

According to the latest American Community Survey (2022), transit lost at least 40% of its commuting market nationally from 2019 to 2022. And it was already tiny in 2019.

Today FIVE times more Americans work from home than take public transit. Among those physically commuting, one-way work trips average 26 minutes.

The left hates cars, but they are FAR more convenient than transit. The latest University of Minnesota Accessibility Observatory 2021 data show that autos can access an average of 67 times as many jobs in 30 minutes of transit (6,700% as many) among 50 metropolitan areas with a 1,000,000 population. Even in the New York metropolitan area – the one city where transit can make sense – the average metro New York worker can get to 10 times as many jobs in a timely way by car than by transit. On the other hand, the vast majority of Manhattan commuters use transit.

The best way to increase job opportunities for low-income Americans is to get them a car so they can get to the jobs. Instead, we keep sending tens of billions down the drain of public transit.

5) Supreme Court Allows Ban On Non-Citizen Voting
Finally some good news on securing voter integrity.

On Thursday the Supreme Court ruled that Arizona may require proof of citizenship when registering new voters for future elections.

Every time voters are consulted they overwhelmingly want clear proof of citizenship rules imposed.

In 2020, voters in Alabama, Colorado, and Florida joined Arizona and North Dakota in enforcing such a requirement.

A federal judge in Phoenix blocked Arizona's law in 2022, so the state legislature responded by passing a new law barring those who don't provide proof from casting ballots in a presidential election.

Why is the left so ferociously opposed to Measures that would prevent non-citizens from voting?

Maybe it is because studies find that roughly 80% of noncitizens support Democrats. And they do vote. A famous 2014 study by two Old Dominion University professors ([link removed]) , based on survey data from the Cooperative Congressional Election Study, indicated that 6.4 percent of all non-citizens voted illegally in the 2008 presidential election, and 2.2 percent in the 2010 midterms.

The U.S. Government Accountability Office has found ([link removed]) that up to 3 percent of the 30,000 people called for jury duty from voter registration rolls over a two-year period in one of the 94 current U.S. district courts were non-citizens.

When non-citizens vote, they effectively disenfranchise legitimate voters by diluting their votes.
