Dear Democracy Defender:


Why is November 2024 an Apple Pie Election? Because at its core ( 😉 ) we see this election as an American election. It’s a ‘Democracy vs. Autocracy’ election, not an ‘R vs. D’ election. For this reason, we are a broad coalition of backgrounds and ideologies, unified by our desire to preserve our American Democracy.


You're probably fired up after this week, and fortunately, we have been busy preparing for this consequential election - organizing, recruiting, taking Actions, uniting with >124 pro-democracy Partners with Actions in over 22 states offering our national Action Center clearinghouse of ~2,000 Actions to volunteers, opening a thought-provoking Substack on many relevant topics, Town Halls with guest speakers and Watch Parties for National events, and running our own “campaigns” like our second season of “Take Back Our Flag” and “What’s Your Tipping Point?” BUT NOTHING, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, WILL COMPARE TO THE NEXT 2+ MONTHS!


Since January, our Democracy Defender Training Sessions have guided over 2,500 volunteers on how to defend democracy. We've also seen an increase, now adding nearly 250 volunteers each month to The Union. This is the power of what we're building. If you haven't attended a session yet, we highly recommend it—it's the fastest way to find a meaningful role and strengthen our path to success. You'll gain access to our toolkit, including voter discussion Talking Points, and can join one of our state or regional teams targeting key races. Your contribution today will help us in this movement. We are on the verge of putting that pie in the oven—baking time is finite and so is our pro-democracy campaign.
