DNC Rejects Palestinian American Speakers, Stirring Intra-Party Tensions Over
Gaza Policy
Palestinian Americans were denied speaking slots at the Democratic National
Convention despite requests from pro-Palestinian delegates.
This decision has caused tension within the Democratic Party, particularly
regarding the Biden administration's handling of the war in Gaza.
The Uncommitted National Movement proposed several Palestinian American
speakers, but their requests were rejected after negotiations with the
Democratic Party.
Protests and sit-ins have been held by uncommitted delegates and their allies
outside the convention.
There are concerns that this decision could alienate young and progressive
voters, potentially affecting support in the November election.Read More.

Kamala Unveils $5 Trillion Tax Hike Plan, Targeting Corporations And High
Earners
Vice President Kamala Harris's economic plan would reportedly increase taxes
by $5 trillion over ten years, according to Americans for Tax Reform (ATR).
The plan aims to undo former President Trump's tax cuts, raising the corporate
tax rate to 28% from 21%.
Harris proposes increasing capital gains and dividends tax to 44.6%, which
would be more than twice China's rate.
The plan includes a 25% minimum tax on unrealized gains for those making over
$100 million annually.
Other proposals include increasing taxes on small business owners, imposing a
second "death tax," and implementing a global minimum corporate tax rate.
Harris claims these measures would reduce the deficit and ensure billionaires
and big corporations "pay their fair share" while maintaining her promise not
to raise taxes on those earning under $400,000 per year.Read More.

Chris Cuomo Says Kamala Is Dodging The Media Because She Is A "Vulnerable"
Candidate
NewsNation host Chris Cuomo stated that Vice President Kamala Harris is
avoiding media interviews one month into her presidential campaign due to
perceived risks.
Cuomo suggested that Harris is more vulnerable to media scrutiny than past
Democratic nominees like Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, and Hillary Clinton.
He noted that Harris's acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention
(DNC) was scheduled two days after the Obamas' speeches to avoid being
overshadowed.
Cuomo emphasized that Harris needs to make her case to the public through
various media channels and debates after the convention.Read More.

Trump Shooter Had Several Encrypted Accounts On Messaging Apps In Foreign
Countries
Rep. Michael Waltz revealed that the man who attempted to assassinate former
President Donald Trump had encrypted accounts in Belgium, New Zealand, and
Germany.
Waltz, a member of the House task force investigating the incident,
questioned why a 19-year-old health care aide would need encrypted platforms
based abroad.
The FBI and Secret Service are investigating the July 13 assassination
attempt, with task force members urging for more frequent information releases.
Waltz expressed concern that officials responsible for Trump's rally security
plan have not been disciplined yet.
The Secret Service's initial report on rally security was expected to be
ready within 60 days of July 22.
The Department of Homeland Security's inspector general is also conducting an
investigation into the incident.Read More.

Sex Offender Fugitive Sought in Arizona After Threatening Trump's Life, Former
President Continues Border Visit
A manhunt is underway in Arizona for Ronald Lee Syvrud, a 66-year-old suspect
who threatened to kill former President Donald Trump ahead of a rally in the
state.
Syvrud has outstanding warrants in Wisconsin and Arizona, including charges
for DUI, hit-and-run, and failing to register as a sex offender.
The threat comes after an assassination attempt on Trump during a campaign
rally in Pennsylvania last month.
Trump appeared unaware of the manhunt when asked about it during a press
conference but expressed gratitude for the Secret Service's protection during
the previous assassination attempt.
The U.S. Secret Service is aware of and tracking the manhunt but referred
inquiries to the Cochise County Sheriff's Office.
Despite the threat, Trump is continuing his campaign visit to the southern
border in Cochise County, Arizona.Read More.

Arkansas Abortion Initiative Blocked From Ballot Due By State Supreme Court
The Arkansas Supreme Court upheld the state's rejection of signature petitions
for a pro-abortion ballot initiative, preventing the proposal from appearing on
November ballots.
The court ruled 4-3 that Arkansans for Limited Government, the group behind
the measure, failed to properly file paid canvasser training certification.
The proposed amendment would have prohibited abortion bans before 20 weeks of
gestation and allowed exceptions for rape, incest, and health risks after that
point.
The initiative needed 90,704 verified signatures from registered voters across
at least 50 counties to qualify for the ballot.
Supporters of the measure argued they followed the law with their
documentation and that their petitions were being handled differently than
other initiative campaigns.
The state contended that the documentation did not comply because someone
from the canvassing company didn't sign it, and it wasn't submitted alongside
the petitions.Read More.

Aurora, CO Faces Juvenile Crime Surge Due To State Restricting Youth Detentions
Aurora, Colorado, is experiencing a surge in juvenile violent crime following
a 2021 state law that reduced juvenile detention capacity.
The law, signed by Democratic Governor Jared Polis, decreased the cap on
juvenile detention beds from 327 to 215.
In 2023, Aurora saw a 42% increase in juvenile detentions for violent crimes,
with an average of 50 juveniles detained daily for manslaughter and
murder-related charges.
The 18th Judicial District Attorney, John Kellner, described the situation as
reaching "crisis levels," with a 124% increase in juvenile homicide filings
since 2021.
A recent incident involved four teenagers engaging in a shootout with police
after stealing a vehicle.
Critics argue that the reduced detention capacity forces judges to release
violent juveniles back into the community due to lack of space. Read More.

Prison Overcrowding In England Spares Child Rapist From Jail
Rees Newman, a 33-year-old convicted child rapist, avoided jail due to the
UK's prison overcrowding crisis.
Newman was given a suspended sentence in December for the historic rape of a
girl under 14 but breached the terms by traveling to Egypt without notifying
the police.
Judge Tracey Lloyd-Clarke admitted that Newman would have likely been jailed
if not for the current overcrowding situation.
The UK government recently activated emergency measures called "Operation
Early Dawn" to ease pressure on prisons, including holding defendants in police
cells and releasing some prisoners early.
Newman's lawyer argued that he made a "stupid mistake" and asked the court to
consider the current prison overcrowding situation.
The judge fined Newman £2,000, ordered him to pay £420 in costs, and mandated
50 hours of unpaid work.Read More.

Federal Study Links High Fluoride Levels to Lower Child IQ, Sparking Public
Health Debate
A U.S. government report concludes that fluoride in drinking water at twice
the recommended limit is linked to lower IQ in children.
The National Toxicology Program's report marks the first time a federal
agency has determined this link "with moderate confidence."
The report found that drinking water containing more than 1.5 milligrams of
fluoride per liter is consistently associated with lower IQs in kids, based on
studies from several countries.
About 1.9 million Americans are on water systems with naturally occurring
fluoride levels of 1.5 milligrams or higher.
The report does not reach conclusions about the risks of lower fluoride
levels or its effects on adults, stating more research is needed.
These findings raise questions about protecting affected populations and may
lead to policy discussions about fluoride content labeling on beverages.Read

What’s Next
Kamala Harris is officially the Democratic Party’s nominee for president.
So, what now?
Polling suggests she and former President Donald Trump are neck and neck.
Will Kamala receive a post-convention surge in the polls that helps propel her
candidacy?
Will she sit for interviews and debate Trump?
A lot of things remain uncertain, but you can guarantee the legacy media will
continue letting her get off scot-free.
She was able to hold it together last night while closing out the Democratic
National Convention, but she remains an utterly unimpressive and unpopular
political figure.
Americans do not like her. They do not trust her. They kicked her to the curb
before a single vote was cast in 2020, and they’re aware that she’s played a
role in our nation’s rapid decline over the last three and a half years.
But at the end of the day, reality doesn’t matter.
Kamala will continue to gaffe and fail to explain how she will reverse the
damage she caused, and the media will continue pushing her along.
Video of the Day
Nancy Pelosi genuinely believes a second Trump term will be the death of
America. <[link removed]>
