John,
This pandemic has made it very clear who our system values and who it doesn’t. While Congress gave corporations a $500 billion bailout, hospitals and their workers – mostly women – got one-fifth of that amount.
Women are on the front lines of the COVID-19 response, and yet we are being left behind and left out. We make up the majority of workers at your local hospital and neighborhood grocery store. We’re often taking care of the kids. We’re losing our jobs at a greater rate. Our rights are being taken away. All of this is especially true for women of color.
And Congress is failing us. Spectacularly.
This extraordinary moment calls for an extraordinary response, so Women’s March is uniting with like-minded organizations to demand more — much more — for women.
John, take a look at our coalition’s five demands for the next COVID-19 relief package — and please ADD YOUR NAME right now.
The next stimulus bill is scheduled to be voted on next week so we don’t have much time.
You know something is very wrong when:
- Congress gives corporations 5x more relief than hospitals.
- Republican lawmakers are exploiting the crisis to ban abortion.
- Wisconsiners are forced to choose between their health and their vote.
Congress has provided only a fraction of the relief urgently needed for the courageous women workers and caretakers on the front lines of the COVID-19 crisis.
We need a massive uprising to demand more from our leaders. Please add your name if you’re with us and let’s show Congress that we are united and fed up.
We can get Congress to right these wrongs, but only if we speak up.
Let’s get loud and demand what we deserve.

P.S. We really need your help to fund this work. If you can, please chip in $5, $15, or $50 to help power this grassroots campaign.
