This week, I introduced two Bills into the Parliament to restore integrity to our building and construction sector and bring back the tough cop on the beat.
 
Recent media reports that the CFMEU has been infiltrated by bikies and gangland figures are concerning. They’re also embarrassing for a Labor Government that has received millions in CFMEU donations.
 
The Albanese Government pretends appointing an administrator to run the militant CFMEU will magically resolve these problems. They’re wrong.
 
Australia’s construction industry is vital for the delivery of homes and vital infrastructure, including roads, schools, hospitals.
 
We need a permanent watchdog to stamp out the corruption, bullying and thuggery. That’s why we will restore the Australian Building and Construction Commission that Labor abolished.
 
Only the Liberals and Nationals can restore integrity to our building and construction sector.
