In just a few moments, I’ll be doing something I didn’t necessarily imagine I’d ever be doing: I’m taking the stage at the Democratic National Convention to reaffirm my commitment and support toward Kamala Harris. 

Trust me, it still shocks me that as a lifelong Republican, I’m typing these words. But I’ve also come to the realization that there is not an ounce of hope left with Donald Trump at the helm of the Republican Party. 

When we created Country First after January 6th, 2021, I made it my mission to bring new solutions to old problems, not to recycle the same thing we’ve been attempting to do that simply just isn’t working. 

I think we’re on the same page that we MUST put our Country first, even if that means sacrificing our allegiance to the parties we have been members of for years or even decades.
