Yesterday, Judge Dugan held a status hearing for Anderson v. Raoul, the ASA-F and Silencer Shop-backed case challenging the constitutionality of Illinois’ suppressor ban. The purpose of the hearing was for the parties to update Judge Dugan on where the lawsuit stands and determine a schedule for moving forward.  At the hearing, Judge Dugan determined that the case should continue to be stayed in light of the Barnett v. Raoul case that will go to a bench trial beginning September 16th.  That case challenges Illinois’ ban on “assault weapons.”

While we continue to await a ruling on the Motion to Dismiss, we remain optimistic. We will continue to keep you updated as new information becomes available.

How Can You Help?

ATTEND

Lawsuits are incredibly expensive, but making suppressors legal in all 50 states and ensuring they could never be banned is priceless.  To get there, we need to raise over $1,200,000. On October 30, 2024, the ASA Foundation will host our second annual Silent Night Banquet in Austin, TX, where we hope to raise $300,000 toward our litigation efforts. EVERY single dollar raised through ticket sales, and our silent and live auctions at the event will directly support this campaign.

DONATE

Can’t attend the Banquet? Make a one-time or recurring donation at Suppressor.org/donate-now. EVERY DOLLAR raised goes directly into our legal fund to cover the costs of litigation.
