Friend, The energy on the ground in Chicago for the DNC is palpable. We’re hearing from the greatest leaders of our generation and getting to meet progressives from across the country. One of the most impactful things we've done in Chicago is posting Victoria Cassinova’s “Kamala Harris: Freedom” artwork around the convention center to share our excitement for this election and encouraging folks to vote. Cassinova, one of our Artists For Democracy, describes her art as sending the message “our fight for the future is a fight for our freedom.” Fortunately, our art made a statement—countless elected officials and DNC attendees have shared images on social media in front of the art. Unfortunately, it also got the attention of a group of Trump & RFK Jr. supporters who vandalized Cassinova’s artwork last night. But we’re not backing down from leveraging art as a powerful force for good and as a way to motivate voters to defeat the MAGA movement this November. Opposition won’t stop us in Chicago or on the way to the White House. When you purchase your own pieces of the art, you’ll be joining a movement to protect our democracy. The funds raised from our art and merchandise sales go toward our efforts to get-out-the vote in key battleground states. We’ll be installing artist-designed billboards, hiring canvassers, and organizing events—all to help deliver this election for Harris/Walz and progressives up and down the ticket. With your help we can win this election. Our Artists For Democracy have been hard at work creating art that you can display to show your passion for electing progressive candidates up and down ballot this election year. In addition to the “Kamala Harris: Freedom” piece, we’ve got showstopping art from artists from across the country. Thank you for your support and for following along with us live at the DNC! -Rio Tazewell, People For the American Way
