The threat to our democracy—as we know it—is an all-out assault, and while much of the spotlight shines on the top of the tickets, it’s the down ballot races (federal, state, and local) where legislative and policy agendas will, or will not, ultimately be enacted.
On November 5th, 33 U.S. Senate seats are up for grabs and several pro-democracy legislators are on the bubble. With the Senate majority of only a single Senate seat (51-49), every race is crucial. The National Republican Senatorial Committee leader proclaimed, “The clearest path to a Republican Senate majority runs through Montana.”
Sen. Tester is a clear threat to the autocratic agenda. Trump recently took his presidential campaign to Montana with its 4 electoral votes. In Montana, Trump emphasized defeating Sen. Tester as integral to MAGA’s master plan with the implementation of Project 2025. With Trump as Dictator and Project 2025 implemented, we risk losing many rights and freedoms we take for granted today.
