Dear John,
Earlier this month, we were honored to host more than 80 NeW chapter leaders at the 2024 Leadership Retreat in Boston, MA.
Our attendees traveled from campuses nationwide to this historic city and heard from some of the most influential female voices in the conservative movement, including Christina Bain, Visiting Fellow at Tufts University; Dr. Anne Bradley, Vice President of Academic Affairs at The Fund for American Studies; Julia Canzano, NeW alumna from Boston College; Amy Carnevale, Government Affairs Advisor and Chair of the Massachusetts Republican Party; Emma Foley, NeW alumna from Boston College and Content Manager at National Review; Alicia McCaslin, business owner, and professional stylist; and Mary Margaret Olohan, author and Senior Reporter at The Daily Signal.
Our chapter leaders also had the opportunity to explore the historic city of Boston and receive an exclusive tour of the Massachusetts State House from State Representative David DeCoste!
NeW recognizes and celebrates our most active student leaders and chapters each year during the retreat. This year, Cameron Teel, an alumna from NeW at the University of Arizona, received the NeW Enlightened Woman of the Year award. As a student, Teel participated in the NeW Opportunity Feminism Course, NeW Student Media Fellowship, and our Conservative Woman’s Guide podcast. Congratulations, Cameron!
NeW at Harvard University received the NeW Chapter in the News Award this year. After being targeted in a hit piece by their school’s student newspaper for hosting Riley Gaines, the chapter leaders remained steadfast in their conservative beliefs and did so with class.
This Leadership Retreat was certainly one for the books! We look forward to seeing how our chapter leaders will make an impact on their campuses this year.
All the best,
President
