As an artist, a clear vision is foundational to my creative process.
I often begin with curating a mood board, gathering images that resonate with the colors, atmosphere, and composition of the piece I envision, which helps me set the tone of the work.
Following this, I engage in a brief creative writing exercise to describe the image I aim to create, which solidifies the emotional impact I want the viewer to experience.
Only after I establish this vision do I begin sketching—starting with broad, loose shapes to establish the composition. Gradually, I refine these sketches, bringing the piece into more and more focus.
When I heard about the Evergreen Action Plan 2.0, it felt like this monumental effort was also grounded in a clear vision, brought to life by thoughtful steps and refinements along the way.
And I was moved by the plan's commitment to helping our leaders build, piece-by-piece, the better, brighter future we all want and deserve.
If you resonate with this vision like I do, I hope you'll start a monthly donation of just $15 to support Evergreen's work. If you do, you'll get a free gift from Evergreen in return—one of four posters (including my own!) that illustrate a future that’s clean, thriving, just, and inclusive.
