National Republicans have added not one, but two of our Republican opponents here in PA-08 to their infamous “Young Guns” program. “Young Guns” is a program led directly by House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy that gives extra resources to National Republicans’ preferred candidates with the expressed goal of retaking the House of Representatives for the GOP.

The fact that Republicans have named not one, but two, of our potential opponents to this program shows how seriously they are taking PA-08. Republican leader Kevin McCarthy said personally that “these candidates are instrumental to helping Republicans reclaim the House Majority.” We can’t let that happen.

With National Republicans now swooping in to give two of our opponents extra resources, we simply can’t afford to fall behind. I know these are uncertain times, but nothing is going to stop Republicans from trying to flip this seat and take back the House of Representatives. And if that happens, all our hard work for affordable healthcare, workers’ rights, hazard pay for essential workers, and so much more will go down the drain.
