Peace & Love, it's Jamaal!
I'm out in Chicago this week to attend the Democratic National Convention.
I had the opportunity to bring my daughter, Maya, and she helped me cast my nominating vote for the first Black woman for President.
It's the most rewarding experience of my life to show her that women's voices, Black voices, and Asian voices aren't just getting a seat at the table – they're the head of the table.
Now I know I'm not making a return to Congress next year, and it's not for lack of effort, but that doesn't mean I won't use my voice to fight for the oppressed. In this moment and this week, it means pushing to have Palestinian voices heard at the DNC.
Before I go, I wanted to humbly ask if you could chip in $10 to help me retire my campaign debt. We left it out on the field and in June and that left us with bills to keep paying. Can I count on you right now?
