I have to be completely honest, folks —
We are going to miss our April fundraising goal. Now look, I’m not too worried and it’s completely understandable that our fundraising has taken a dip amid this new reality.
But April is already a notoriously difficult month for fundraising and our average donation has dropped significantly since last quarter.
I’m not your typical politician. I’m the only working farmer in the U.S. Senate and my collection of dirt-stained shirts say the same. I don’t rely on huge PACs or mega-donors to fuel my work — just everyday folks like you chipping in what you can to make a difference.
So, I have to ask: If you’re able, will you chip in toward my team’s end-of-month goal on Thursday? The success of our work depends on you and I’m hoping I can count on you to come through here.
I appreciate anything you can give right now. But listen, I only want you to donate if you can. Too many people are facing financial hardship and the most important thing to me is that you and your loved ones stay safe and healthy during this difficult time.
Thank you,
Jon
