Day 3 of the DNC Convention brought yet another wave of excitement and clarity to the hard work ahead for the next 11 weeks.

The audience jam-packed in the United Center, joined by millions on their TVs at home celebrated the historic nomination of Tim Walz  for Vice President. Clearly a great partner for Kamala Harris and a proven friend of feminism and equality.

Of note: several courageous and candid Republicans also took to the podium last night alerting America to the dangers of a second Trump term.  Not only did they outline the very real threats to democracy and personal freedoms they urged fellow Republicans and Independents to vote for Kamala Harris.

The defeat of Donald Trump is critical.  So, is the defeat of Republicans in critical House and Senate races. You see, even if Democrats win the White House our personal rights and freedoms will not be safe unless the Democrats also regain majority control of the House and maintain control of the U.S. Senate.

To illustrate what a horrific barrier to freedom MAGA Republicans are and why focusing on Congressional races is so important just look at this video.

At our FFM EqualiTEA event on Monday Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi not only led the cheers for Kamala and We Ain’t Goin’ Back, but illustrates why even assumed rights like access to Birth Control are not safe if Republicans control the House.

... we must not lose focus on the House and Senate races.

The reality  you and I face is even if we win the White House, without a majority in both the House and Senate, we will struggle to advance critical protections for reproductive healthcare, including birth control and IVF.

That’s why Vote for Equality, the political action arm of the Feminist Majority, has designed our campus mobilization campaign not only to win the White House but also to regain Democratic control of the House and maintain our majority in the Senate.  And we need your help for the critical weeks ahead.

We’ve strategically focused our efforts on key battleground states like Michigan, Nevada, Arizona, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina, and on pivotal congressional districts in Ohio, California, and New York to not only deliver the presidential vote for the Harris-Walz ticket, but to also win critical House seats in California and New York and defend the essential Senate Seats of Jacky Rosen in Nevada and Sherrod Brown in Ohio.
