University of Hawaii Offers COVID-19 Training for Nurses
Faculty members at the University of Hawaii Manoa School of Nursing and Dental Hygiene sprang into action and developed a training program for students headed to the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic. In response to demand, it’s been adapted for working nurses too. The school’s dean led the work: Mary Boland, DrPH, RN, FAAN, also co-leads the Hawaii Action Coalition.
Neb. Develops COVID-19 Resource Page for Long Term Care
The Nebraska Center for Nursing is helping the state face a shortage of health care workers in long-term care and assisted living by seeking those who can volunteer or take temporary employment. Participate in Testing the Board Engagement Survey
Calling all registered nurses (RNs) and advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs): have you served for at least one year on a board of directors with fiduciary responsibilities? You may be eligible to participate in a study, approved by the University of Massachusetts Boston Institutional Review Board, to test an instrument aimed at measuring the engagement of nurses on boards.
