Tonight was historic. We officially nominated Kamala Harris and Tim Walz to be at the top of the Democratic ticket, capping off an energizing, inspiring, and downright joyous time here in Chicago. |
This past week at the convention, we experienced the very best of what our party has to offer. The passionate conversations, the diversity of voices, and the coming together of various perspectives from across the country all underscoring that while democracy can sometimes be messy, it is still the greatest form of government.
We demonstrated that we are the party that understands the concerns of everyday Americans and our platform offers real solutions, not empty rhetoric.
We articulated our vision for the nation and how we are the Party who will protect our freedoms, enhance our democracy, and get the job done for the American People.
And we are unified in our support for our nominees Kamala Harris and Tim Walz to defeat Donald Trump, JD Vance, and the MAGA extremism they champion.
Now we need to carry this enthusiasm and energy across the finish line, and elect democrats up and down the ballot – both in Connecticut and around the country – this November. Your voice and your vote are the most important tools we have to defeat MAGAism once and for all. Onward to November!
