Brand New Congress

John --

We’ve seen some truly irresponsible decisions made by the Senate during this pandemic crisis. For instance, the Senate passed the biggest bailout in history and did not demand oversight on distribution of funds, despite the fact that we have the swampiest Executive branch in American history.

The good news is, we can take five seats in November! We have 4 candidates who are aiming to challenge some of the most nefarious Republicans in the Senate and one who’s challenging a notorious blue-dog Democrat. BUT, to make it to the general election we have to make it past corporate-backed challengers in the primary.

It’s down to the wire. Help us say goodbye to Republicans Mitch McConnell, Joni Ernst, Shelley Moore Capito, and Susan Collins.

Voting has already started in Paula Jean Swearengin’s race in West Virginia and is set to start in races for Kimberly Graham in Iowa, and Betsy Sweet in Maine, and Charles Booker in Kentucky in the next couple weeks. This means informing voters on each state’s mail-in ballot procedures, and doing it while maintaining social distancing protocols.

Our candidates can’t knock doors, or schedule in-person events right now, so we have to think outside of the box to reach as many voters as we can. To do this we are recruiting hundreds of volunteers to make thousands of phone calls and texts. We have to mount sweeping digital campaigns.

We must reach voters, then guide them through the voting process to ensure their ballots are cast on time and according to shifting state guidelines. That’s going to require lots of people-power.

Can you contribute $5 today to help us support our amazing Senate candidates? A dollar for each seat we hope to take in November.

Yours for the revolution,

Zeynab Day
