Our language around the Court That Dark Money Built has taken hold. Why? Because Americans can see right through this captured Supreme Court.
The far-right justices are imposing their extreme right-wing agenda to please the political billionaires who shower them with lavish gifts. These justices have squandered Americans' trust, and then they've tried to claim that they shouldn't be subject to the kind of binding ethics code that all other federal judges and officials are subject to.
Team, I won’t rest until we clean up the mess at the Court—and I’ve got the bills to get it done. My SCERT Act, which would create strong ethical guardrails for the justices, is through committee and ready for a floor vote. AND I have the Supreme Court Biennial Appointments and Term Limits Act to establish eighteen-year Supreme Court term limits.
Passing these bills depends on whether or not we can protect and expand our Democratic Senate majority. That’s why I’m asking today: Can you pitch in to send my fellow Democrats and me back to the Senate so we can get these bills across the finish line and restore the integrity of the Supreme Court?
