As summer winds down and we gear up for another school year, Catholic Charities agencies continue to provide a solid foundation of services to those in need – including children, the elderly, and pregnant women in need a hand-up at a challenging time in their lives.
Consider Young Jandel, a client whose life has been transformed by the services of his local Catholic Charities Agency.
A bright child, he was skipping school and failing classes. But the staff at a Catholic Charities after school program didn’t give up on him. When they discovered he had an aptitude for music, the pieces fell into place.

“With violin, I feel like it connects me, because it’s music. It’s not just a subject,” Jandel said. “It was such a mindblower. I didn’t even know that I wanted to be a musician.”
