Dear team,
Anti-abortion extremists want to make decisions about your health care for you—we're not exaggerating. They said so themselves.
You've probably heard of Project 2025 —a destructive road map for the country's future released by the Heritage Foundation and cosigned by over 100 organizations—including a who's who of anti-abortion activists. The document lays out the exact steps they want to take in order to strip bodily autonomy from people who can become pregnant, removing their ability to access abortion and other reproductive health care.
It's frightening, but fear will not stop us. We're fighting to PROTECT 2025—are you with us? [[link removed]]
PROTECT ABORTION [[link removed]]
As Project 2025 lays out, anti-abortion extremists plan to:
...Revoke FDA approval of mifepristone
...Prosecute people who send abortion pills through the mail
...Require people to report abortion care to the government
...Redefine emergency contraception
...End mandatory insurance coverage of birth control
...Defund and devalue federal programs that provide low or no-cost contraception.
They aim to make it difficult or impossible to access birth control, emergency contraception, and abortion. And don't forget, if you are pregnant and in a life-threatening situation, they don't want you to be able to access health care then either.
You can turn your outrage into action by teaming up with the Center now. [[link removed]]
We're working on proactive strategies to make sure anti-abortion extremists can never follow through on this plan, and we'll need you with us.
Onward,
Elisabeth Smith
Director, State Policy & Advocacy
