Ted is speaking at the Democratic National Convention tonight about Kamala Harris and the Democrats' commitment to affordable housing.

There's a reason Ted was the first member of Congress to endorse Kamala for President of the United States. He got to know her as Attorney General when he was in the California State Legislature. As California AG, Kamala led an investigation of the mortgage industry to root out abuse and fraud. She held the big banks accountable and secured $20 billion in restitution for California homeowners.

Since those days, she has continued this fight as Vice President—supporting Ted's Housing for All Act and the implementation of the West LA Leasing Act for our veterans. Under the Biden-Harris Administration, the VA has prioritized housing veterans experiencing homelessness—helping almost 1,000 vets find homes in LA County this year alone. As a veteran himself, Ted understands how important this is.

Tonight, Ted is going to speak to the country about how Kamala supported California families and fought for affordable housing as Attorney General, then continued that fight as Vice President. And how as President, she’ll fight to ensure families everywhere can afford a place to call home.
