Hi John! Before I helped create Open Progress, I was just a super volunteer like you. Back in 2012, when I was deep in the trenches with the Obama campaign, my friend Ange was there, too, knocking doors and talking to voters all over Pittsburgh. We celebrated the best way possible: Inauguration day in 2013. Now, she’s doing something even more incredible in Pittsburgh, and I want to share it with you - and see if we at OP can help.

** Operation Facemask Pittsburgh ([link removed])

Ange has helped found a volunteer collective, including professional stitchers, working to fill Pittsburgh’s need for safe, washable, reusable masks and are prioritizing frontline, essential workers: grocery, municipal, medical personnel who can not stay home. Since Gov. Wolf’s mandate to wear a face mask, demand has surged - and they need your support!

SUPPORT OPERATION FACEMASK PITTSBURGH ([link removed])
The organization also conducts online DIY tutorials ([link removed]) for individuals to learn how to make their own masks. If you would like to help support Operation Facemask Pittsburgh's essential mission, click the button above! They need both money and time, and every little bit we can give will help them keep PA safe.

Pennsylvania has been hit hard by COVID-19.

Attorney General Josh Shapiro has been working tirelessly to provide relief, including calling on banks to offer a relief package known as “PA CARES”, which would institute grace periods for mortgages and other loans ([link removed]) . We are texting Pennsylvania voters on behalf of Josh right now to help keep him exactly where he needs to be most: person-to-person in the great Keystone State.
