Good afternoon,
Donald Trump recently claimed that his "authority is total" to decide what states can do to keep their residents safe. It's an echo of his constant attacks on our ability as a state to protect our environment, civil rights, and health care access.
He's wrong. And it is precisely this belief in his "total authority" that is a key reason why we're 28-1 in lawsuits against him.
My three Republican opponents constantly attack me for filing these lawsuits. If elected, they would drop these lawsuits, leaving Washingtonians vulnerable to the whims of this administration.
The eventual Republican nominee will be supported by the corporate-funded Republican Attorneys General Association ("RAGA"). This organization's sole mission is to elect more Republican AGs who will be in the pockets of their corporate and political benefactors.
Because of my record defeating the Trump administration in court, an alliance of dark money corporate interests are lined up against me.
In 2012, RAGA spent a record-breaking $3 million against me. It was the most they'd ever spent in any AG race anywhere in the country -- ever. It's hard to believe, but now they spend even more attacking incumbent Democratic attorneys general.
We must ensure Washingtonians know the truth about my record. I don't take donations from corporations, so I am relying on this grassroots team. We're up against our end-of-month deadline on Thursday. If you're able to help us reach our ambitious goal of 1,500 donations this month (we have 398 to go!), you can make a donation here: [link removed]
Thank you for your continued support,
Bob
