Hi John,
One of the things that frustrates me the most about my opponent is his inability to live in the same reality (or district!) as the rest of us here in Arizona’s 2nd. On the campaign trail, I’ve heard from countless constituents about Eli Crane’s lack of attention to their concerns, from simple requests for help with something to his general disinterest in passing legislation to actually help rural Arizona. Now, my opponent is out with a new conspiracy that he’s pushing out into the right-wing podcast world: Eli Crane thinks the horrific attempted assassination of Donald Trump was actually a plot by our own federal government.
Before I go on, if you’re ready for a Congressman who puts progress over conspiracism, can you chip in towards my campaign today?
Eli Crane’s ridiculous conspiracy theory is not supported by a single shred of evidence: it’s just his latest attempt to sow misinformation as a means of dividing us. The attempted assassination of Trump was an awful event, and I joined just about every other candidate in America in condemning this atrocious act of political violence. We’re already too divided as a nation, and these types of dangerous and false claims only make the problem worse.
With his buddy Steve Bannon sitting in federal prison, Eli Crane is currently one of the highest profile voices of right-wing conspiracies out there. Since he obviously prefers podcasting to actually getting anything done as a Congressman, I’m sure he’ll pursue it full-time once we send him packing this November. Thanks for anything you can chip in to help us win this thing!
All the best,
Jonathan Nez
