Dear Friend,
As founding board members of Build Alaska's Future (BAF), we are proud to display our updated branding, announce new projects, and to ask for your help to achieve our ambitious goals. At BAF, we believe that education cultivates public trust in government and other crucial institutions, and trust creates stronger communities. By helping every Alaskan stay informed, we hope to foster empowered and engaged communities across the state. Here’s how we’re doing all that:
Our first-of-its-kind, state-level federal funding map helps Alaskans to explore over 4,000 federally funded projects across the state, including descriptions, categories, and funding amounts that describe how these projects will affect everyday lives.
Right now, our team is working on major improvements to this map aimed at empowering communities. The improvements will include ground level views of federal projects and more precise geo-locators. These will allow Alaskans to see which projects are not just in their community but in their neighborhood, starting with South Central, Southeast, and Interior Alaska. You can find our map here on our website, where you can also see our fresh new branding.
BAF has forged new and important partnerships with organizations like iHeart Media, Labor, Rural CAP, and the Alaska Municipal League. Our partner organizations collaborate with us on initiatives like the state-level federal funding map, the Alaska Native Workforce Development Workshop, and the Alaska Governance Project. Together, we amplify our voices so we can reach more Alaskans.
Build Alaska's Future invites you to partner with us to tell the story of the opportunities that historic federal infrastructure investment in recent years represent. This tax-deductible educational nonprofit accepts grants and donations for public education. Your support enables us to challenge political extremism, foster transparency and trust, and back thoughtful leaders dedicated to our state’s advancement. Together, we can champion Alaska’s legacy of bipartisan collaboration and create a positive, lasting impact for generations to come. To invest in our work, visit our updated website at BuildAlaska.org or contact us at [email protected]. Invest in Alaska’s future!
We invite you to review the prospectus here and contact us directly to discuss your organization and how we can work together.
Best regards,
David Guttenberg (Fairbanks) and Veronica Slajer (Anchorage)
