| Jews are no strangers to the juxtaposition of grief and joy, mourning and celebration. And that is perhaps most apparent today, as we join Israel in remembering its fallen soldiers and victims of terror on Yom HaZikaron (Memorial Day) and then, this evening, celebrating the country’s 72 years of existence on Yom HaAtzma’ut (Independence Day). |
