I just spoke at the Democratic National Convention about the incredible power that Latino voters will have this fall. Here's the deal:

I know that when Latinos vote, Democrats win. But not everyone believes that. They certainly didn’t believe it when we started Voto Latino 20 years ago. They called us “the sleeping giant” – that there were a lot of us but that we didn’t vote. We proved them wrong in 2008 when the Latino vote helped turn Nevada and Colorado blue for Barack Obama. We proved them wrong in 2020 when Voto Latino registered more voters than Joe Biden’s margin of victory in Arizona and Georgia. And I know we’ll prove them wrong again this year, because more Latinos will vote this fall than in any previous election in American history.

Voto Latino has been registering new voters faster than any other time in our organization’s history. We’ve headed into the DNC with significant accomplishments – over 90k registered and 65% who will be first time voters! We have already surpassed the margin of Biden’s 2020 victory in Arizona alone and we aren’t stopping.
