I wanted to share a little bit about my story, and why I’m in this fight, John.
To put it frankly, I represent one of the most competitive House seats in the country, so if you’re already with me, please chip in $8 or any amount you can afford right now to help me defend this seat: [[link removed]]

Family means everything to me. My parents came to Colorado from a small town in Mexico, looking for a better life. They knew that hard work and caring for others are the values that build strong communities and families. They raised me and my siblings with those values — on a construction worker’s salary, in the home they still live in.

I went to medical school, becoming the first in my family to graduate from college. But even before I finished my medical training, advocacy became an important part of my life. I helped organize my fellow medical residents for better working conditions, and became a union representative with SEIU.

I chose to be a pediatrician in Adams County to give back to my community – to the folks that raised me. I quickly realized that doctors face major obstacles when trying to treat our patients.

That’s why I ran for the state legislature. In that time, I worked to pass legislation to force drug companies to lower the cost of prescriptions, expand funding for preschool, ensure all Coloradans have access to paid family leave and sick days, and protect renters from eviction during the pandemic.

And, John, that’s why I ran for Congress in 2022. The pollsters said I didn’t have a shot of winning this race. Thanks to this grassroots movement, we defied the odds and elected the first Latina to represent Colorado in Congress.
In Congress, I will continue my commitment to the families I see every day in Colorado. I will build on my work to lower health care costs, address the high cost of living, and protect a woman’s right to choose. I’m ready to continue advocating for Coloradans in Congress, but I can’t beat the far-right or get there alone. Your support was critical last time. So please, will you chip in to my congressional campaign today? [[link removed]]
