John — I have about 15 minutes of free time in my schedule today. I know that doesn’t sound like a lot of time, but with a schedule like mine, I can assure you it’s a gift.
And while I know folks like me probably send a lot of emails your way, I want to take a few minutes to tell you about my decision to run for Senate in the first place — and why your support today is so important to our success.
The truth is: When Gabby and I first started talking about running, we weren’t sure what to expect.
We knew that Arizona needed new leadership in the Senate — someone who would always put the people of our state first and was willing to work across the aisle to deliver real results.
We also knew we had some friends who would help us out. But when you’re talking about such a big campaign, we realized we’d need support from a lot of people we hadn’t met yet. Especially since I decided to reject corporate PAC money.
You know the rest. We won in 2020, and again in 2022, because we ran the biggest grassroots campaign Arizona has ever seen.
But now we have a new mission: working to elect more pro-democracy candidates in Arizona and beat Trump, Kari Lake, and the other MAGA Republicans up and down the ballot.
With some of the most competitive races in the country, Arizona is on the front lines of the fight to defend our democracy and continue to make progress on abortion access.
