As we prepare to send our kids back to school, we're reminded of the work we still need to do to uplift the next generation. Our teachers deserve better pay, and our public schools need more support to ensure every child receives the education they deserve.
But while we fight for these improvements, Donald Trump and his allies have set their sights on something entirely different: dismantling our education system. They've clung to the dangerous idea of abolishing the Department of Education, threatening to undermine the critical learning our children need to succeed.
