John, we can't wait to watch Tim Walz accept the Vice Presidential nomination tonight at the Democratic National Convention.

For the last two weeks, Walz's addition to the ticket has electrified folks across the country. His record is a shining example of Democratic Midwestern values: he's provided free school meals in his state, passed paid family leave, expanded clean energy, and codified the right to choose.

Walz's straightforward approach to governing and his unapologetic defense of pro-working class, pro-freedom policies has been a breath of fresh air. It's the way Democrats in the Midwest win big, and it's proving to be a boon in areas that haven't gotten the attention they deserve.

The energy Walz has brought was on full display a few days ago when he campaigned in Nebraska's 2nd District. And the packed Omaha arena also got a chance to hear from State Senator Tony Vargas – our nominee in what could be the decisive seat for control of Congress.

Tony's race is one of our priorities for the next 76 days, and there's a big opportunity right now to mobilize folks throughout NE-02. Can you split a donation to support Tony and boost Midwest Majority PAC's voter outreach efforts? [[link removed]]

Tony is running again to defeat Republican incumbent Don Bacon, after losing by less than 6,000 votes in 2022. Before entering politics, Tony was a teacher (just like Tim Walz). It's a dedication to children and families' wellbeing that has always guided him – and he offers a powerful contrast to his opponent.

Tony believes in reproductive freedom; Don Bacon co-sponsored a national abortion ban. Tony wants to improve healthcare access; Bacon voted to gut the Affordable Care Act. Tony prioritizes paid family leave and raising wages; Bacon voted to cut taxes for billionaires and has called for raising the retirement age.

The fact of the matter is, Democratic resources in the final stretch of last cycle were spread too thin — and candidates like Tony lacked the outside support they needed to get over the finish line. We at Midwest Majority PAC are determined to make sure that doesn't happen again.

We're hopeful that the renewed energy Democrats are feeling across the Midwest translates into real gains (and the latest poll of NE-02 shows that it's a two-point race). But we're taking nothing for granted. Every day is critical, and every dollar raised allows campaigns to reach more people directly – and helps groups like us amplify the messages that persuade undecided voters.

So, John, if you're ready to send a teacher and champion for families to Congress, split a donation today >> [[link removed]]
