Instead of doing his job, our Attorney General wanted to get on Tucker Carlson.

Missouri's Fake Lawsuit against China

Missouri's current Attorney General is wasting taxpayer money to bring a fake lawsuit against China so he could get on Tucker Carlson.

He didn't coordinate with federal authorities or the President. He didn't tell the Governor. He didn't protect Missourians. He just served himself. Like the Attorney General before him, he's already looking to run for United States Senate.

We need an Attorney General who works for us.

What could the Attorney General be doing instead?

We released a plan for that a while ago ([link removed]) . He could be fighting price gouging, protecting our health care, or upholding our right to vote.

He could also protect the safety of our food supply.

Just a few days ago, workers at the Smithfield plant in Milan, after exposing terrible working conditions for years, went to court. Many workers weren't given time to take bathroom breaks or cover their mouths while working in meat processing. They blew the whistle and asked a judge to find that Smithfield was creating a public health risk and violating CDC guidelines. Within just a couple of days, the judge agreed ([link removed]) .

Our Attorney General was too busy pretending to sue China to show up.

As a state senator, our current Attorney General voted to change Missouri law preventing foreign ownership of farmland in our state. He did it for Smithfield so it could be sold to a Chinese company. Smithfield would go on to push workers to wear diapers and work in awful conditions.

Now our Attorney General won't do anything to hold Smithfield accountable. Workers had to do it on their own.

I spoke with Axel Fuentes today, one of the organizers of the plant's workers. I congratulated the workers and offered any assistance we could provide. He was so happy to hear from someone willing to help.

Our Attorney General should have been making that call. He should be the one showing up for Missourians. And with your help, in just a few more months, we'll take back the Attorney General's Office for We the People, and that's exactly what our Attorney General will do.
