John,
I was honored to speak at the Democratic National Convention this week – did you catch it? I know that some people will tell me to just shut up and whistle, but I won’t stand idly by during an election that is a matter of life and death for so many Americans.
In Paris, our Olympic basketball teams won gold because players put aside rivalries to represent our country. Imagine what we could do with millions of us playing on the same team. Not as Democrats. Not as Republicans. But as Americans.

If we work together, I know that we can create a better country – one safe from gun violence – for our children and grandchildren. But in order to win, we need a strong leader; a leader who displays dignity, who tells the truth, and who cares for the people they are leading.
Kamala Harris is that leader, John. I know that she will continue the powerful legacy that the Biden Administration has started, relentlessly fighting for the safety of the American people and to end the scourge of gun violence that is unique to our nation.
That’s why I continue to raise my voice in this moment, to advocate for a leader who will continue the Biden Administration’s incredible legacy of gun violence prevention. This administration passed the first piece of gun safety legislation in 30 years and Kamala Harris has already promised to ban assault weapons and expand Brady background checks. If she’s working with a team that’s behind her in this movement, there’s not telling what we can accomplish.
So I want to know: Are you on this team, John? This team that Brady has been part of for decades; that’s dedicated to electing gun violence prevention champions up and down the ballot; this team that will defeat the gun lobby’s blood money and pass life-saving legislation; this team that will win.
If you’re part of this movement to save lives from gun violence and create a safer country, will you sign your name now and let me know you’re in this fight with me?
I’ve been part of some great teams and I know that Brady’s team is going to win.
