Meet the new boss. Worse than the old boss.

New York Post (8/21/24) reports: "Vice President Kamala Harris appeared to have a minor verbal stumble Tuesday night at her rally in Milwaukee, vowing to 'put in the hard woke' to win the White House — when she meant to say work. 'We know this is going to be a tight race until the very end. We have some hard work ahead of us. We have hard work ahead of us but we like hard work. Hard work is good work,' the Democratic presidential nominee said. 'And with your help this November, we will win — we will, because we’re going to put in the hard woke [sic] over the next 77 days.' An attendee of the rally said they cringed hearing the slip. The term 'woke' is frequently used by Republican officials to denounce what they view as excessive political correctness."

"There is no more fundamental issue in this campaign: Kamala Harris cares more about climate change than about inflation. She prefers solar panels and wind turbines to American jobs. Her policies make the environment worse while turning millions of Americans into paupers—begging their government for help with high energy bills rather than standing on their own two feet."

If Big Green, Inc. doesn't think Kamala has "moderated" her stances on energy, then the voters shouldn't either...

Washington Free Beacon (8/20/24) reports: "A coalition of high-profile climate activist nonprofits, which have pushed fracking bans at the state and federal levels, are unleashing a colossal advertising campaign in support of Kamala Harris's presidential campaign. The 501(c)(4) affiliates of the League of Conservation Voters, Environmental Defense Fund, Climate Power Action, and Democratic-aligned PAC Future Forward unveiled a staggering $55 million advertising campaign in support of the Harris campaign and targeting battleground states....'What it suggests is that [the Harris campaign] is in on the charade with the green group movement,' Tom Pyle, the president of the American Energy Alliance who led the Trump transition energy team in 2016, said in an interview. 'If they truly want to ban fracking, why would they support a candidate who reversed her position from wanting to ban fracking to no longer wanting to ban fracking? I'm sure that there were winks and nods behind the scenes because, again, there's no distinction anymore between the green political movement and the Democratic machine,' he continued. 'Those organizations are worried that if they don't step up to try to help Kamala Harris, then they're going to watch President Trump work to dismantle all the horrible policies and regulations that the Biden-Harris administration has put in place.'...The organizations—which, in addition to fracking bans, advocate for broad fossil fuel shutdowns, taxpayer handouts for green energy, and electric vehicle mandates—have already spent more than $7 million backing individual Democratic candidates and political committees supporting Democrats this election cycle, according to the latest data reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon. 'Vice President Harris will deliver,' Natural Resources Defense Council president Manish Bapna wrote in a recent blog post endorsing Harris."

Just The News (8/16/24) reports: "Danish wind developer Orstead announced Thursday it’s delaying construction on its Revolutionary Wind project off the coasts of Rhode Island and Connecticut. The news comes less than a year after the company already scrapped three projects over the commercial viability of the projects.  The offshore wind industry has been struggling financially for much of the past year...Despite the financial uncertainty of the offshore wind industry, the Bureau of Ocean and Energy Management (BOEM) is issuing waivers for financial assurances on offshore wind projects, saying they present an unnecessary burden for the industry. The financial assurance requirement protects the public from decommissioning liabilities. If companies can’t afford to remove the wind towers they’re building after their useful life, the public has an assurance that those liabilities will be covered...While offering waivers to the relatively new offshore wind industry, BOEM recently increased the financial assurance requirements for offshore oil and gas operations...McGinnis told Just the News that the Vineyard Wind blade disaster should illustrate how the permissive approach to the offshore wind industry is creating serious problems for the future."
