The 2024 Washington Primary Election votes are in and the results are clear: Washingtonians want leaders on environmental justice.

Together, we helped environmental champions like Dave Upthegrove and Bob Ferguson advance to the General Election. And you and I are a key part of why Dave made it through the Primary Election by less than 100 votes. By putting in our time, energy, and volunteer hours combined with our PAC’s $375,000, we beat back corporate timber interests to have a strong candidate in this race!

These victories represent a vital step toward state leadership that puts people and nature first. Thank you for voting.

Between now and the General Election Day, we must maintain the momentum to officially elect environmental champions as Washington’s next Governor, Commissioner of Public Lands, and important legislative seats. We must also ramp up the energy to defeat ballot initiatives 2117 and 2066 that will raise costs for families and farmers, make traffic worse, threaten drinking water and salmon, and slow the transition to clean energy.

The realities of climate change mean we cannot afford to lose in the November General Election. Let’s work together toward victory.
