it's being used by Trump, Russia and others trying to manipulate us ahead
of the elections.

A new report shows that Facebook has allowed advertisers to target people
interested in “pseudoscience”. There are at least 78 million people in
this group alone!

It’s like a gold mine for fraudsters.

But this same micro-targeting tool is also used by the likes of Trump and
Russia -- manipulating and serving misinformation to vulnerable and
susceptible Americans ahead of the election. 

Micro-targeting is like a massive, unethical, psychological experiment on
humans. But now we have a chance to stop it. This new report has sounded
the alarm and now organizations across the US are calling on Facebook to
end micro-targeting once and for all. Let's join them and make this a PR
nightmare for Facebook until they end the manipulation!

We're not saying remove all targeting in Facebook ads. But micro-targeting
based on content you previously engaged with could be dangerous. Imagine
Trump running ads to anti-vaxxers claiming that a Biden presidency would
force everyone to get a Covid vaccine. 

And for now, we can't rely on Facebook to censor Trump's lies, as they
shamefully refuse to fact-check political ads. Nor do they provide
transparency about what ad content each group is receiving. Between this
and their manipulative micro-targeting tool, Facebook has shown us that we
simply can't rely on them to shepherd us into this new digital age without
major, potentially devastating consequences. 

We can’t sit back and watch how this unfolds -- the stakes couldn't be
higher. More than ever, we need to keep up the pressure on them to do
better, and it will only work if enough of us demand it. So add your name
