Hello John,
The climate and ecological crisis stems from a flawed system driven by greed, exploitation and inequality, benefiting only a few. Our current ‘democratic’ system is failing us.
We need a Citizens’ Assembly on Climate and Ecological Justice. This is XR’s third demand - and the central cry of our gathering at Windsor at the end of the month.
You are invited to take part in a mass community assembly, where you can learn and practise this method of discussion, generating ideas and decision-making.
The 'Massembly' will explore the question, "How might we take meaningful steps to upgrade democracy?" and you will be able to contribute ideas for a fair, sustainable and inclusive future.
Join the Massembly at Windsor on Sat 31st August Facilitators will be on hand to answer questions and guide you through the process. All you need to bring is yourself, a pen and a smartphone (if possible)!

Not going to Windsor? You can take part from home by registering for a simultaneous online event.

This is a great opportunity to take part in deliberative democracy, which builds on XR's experience of organising various community assemblies across the UK. These have explored not just climate and nature, but also issues like corruption, racism and inequality.
We hope to see you there!

PS If you’d like to find out more about the Massembly process, including how to act as a group facilitator, you can register for a training session tomorrow (Thurs 22nd). Also in person facilitator training sessions will also take place at Windsor on Friday August 30th at 2pm and 8.30pm.
