Hello Democrats! We're excited to share our daily update from Chicago.
Last night, several Republicans came before a Democratic convention to tell how the extremism of today’s MAGA Republican Party has driven them to support Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff showed what a terrific First Gentleman he would make, giving the American people funny and touching insights into their beautiful, blended family and what makes the Vice President such a special person and inspirational leader. And then, Barack Obama and Michelle Obama each made the case with grace, humor, eloquence, and forcefulness – as only they can – for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz and against four more dangerous years of Donald Trump.
As Michelle Obama said, “Hope is making a comeback.” President Obama wove a story of change begun during his administration through the historic achievements under President Biden, looking forward with hope and optimism to the promise of a Harris-Walz administration. The chants of “Yes she can” shook the United Center.
All that came after a rollicking roll call of states. No other state could match the historic firsts of the Bay State or our incredible lineup of Democratic elected leaders. Our delegation showed up and showed off.

This morning, at our delegation breakfast, we had another incredible lineup of speakers: Senator Tim Kaine of Virginia, Jaime Harrison, national Chair of the Democratic Party, Chrissy Lynch, President of the MA AFL-CIO, Boston Mayor Michelle Wu, Attorney General Andrea Campbell, Congresswomen Ayanna Pressley and Katherine Clark, as well as our elected neighbors from Maine, Governor Janet Mills and Secretary of State Shenna Bellows.

Tonight, we're excited to hear from President Bill Clinton and others, with the highlight to be the acceptance speech of the next Vice President of the United States, Governor Tim Walz.
