Dear Friend,
My name is Oliver Bailey. My brother, John, was incarcerated in federal prison for drug offenses. With eight life sentences, John had no hope of ever being free again. However, FAMM gave him hope through their innovative partnerships with other organizations across the United States—and now, he is free.
I now give a monthly gift to FAMM. I invite you to do the same, friends: [link removed] [[link removed]]
During my struggle trying to understand unjust sentencing laws, FAMM was a beacon of hope for me and my family. We were lost in a world of despair, and many people refused to listen to us. FAMM helped us cope and connected us to other families so we could see that we were not alone.
FAMM is now fighting to ensure that Congress implements the Federal Prison Oversight Act (FPOA), legislation that will increase transparency and accountability in the Bureau of Prisons. FPOA gives hope to people like John, who experienced terrible prison conditions firsthand, and also to people like me, who worried for their loved ones while they were kept behind bars.
A monthly gift of any amount—even $10—can help FAMM continue their vital criminal justice reform work. FAMM has a goal to add 100 new donors who give once a month, just like I do. The impact of my contribution is significant on its own, but it’s even more powerful when combined with others. Please give today: [link removed] [[link removed]]
It’s important to support FAMM because they are a hardworking, dedicated organization well-versed in the latest criminal justice reform efforts. FAMM is at the forefront of implementing FPOA, and partners with many others who want to accomplish the same goal.
The cost of my brother’s freedom is priceless. Because of that, and the work that FAMM does, I am proud to be a monthly donor.
Please join me in giving a monthly gift to FAMM: [link removed] [[link removed]]
Thank you,
Oliver Bailey
