Work begins to create a two-way cycle path on Porchester Road ??
Porchester Road

Work has started on the Active Travel England-funded improvements on Porchester Road in Mapperley.

Last year Nottingham City Council were awarded over ÂŁ1.7million from the Active Travel Fund for investment along Porchester Road. The funding enables the council to deliver a more modern pedestrian and cycling-friendly scheme, with clear segregation from traffic.

West Yorkshire Mayor visits Nottingham to explore award-winning trams??
Yorkshire Mayor visits Nottingham

Mayor of West Yorkshire, Tracy Brabin, met with Nottingham City Council to learn more about how Nottingham has developed its award-winning tram network (NET).

*Here are some facts about our amazing tram network:*


* There are over 50 tram stops
* The trams run every 7 - 10 minutes (and even more regularly in the city centre!)
* There are seven free park and ride sites with a total capacity of over 5,000 spaces
* The QMC hospital is the first in the country to be served directly by a tram service
* Each of Nottingham’s trams carry the equivalent of nearly three double-decker buses or 170 cars
* Each one of our trams is named after a local hero [ [link removed] ] of the past or present

Price changes to some Robin Hood season cards

From Sunday 25 August, there will be changes to the prices of some of the Adult Robin Hood Season card products, as well as the Under 19 day ticket.

Protect your bike from theft

Use two high quality locks (at least one should be a D-lock!) when parking your bike to make it secure, even when parking in one of our Nottingham Cycle Parks.
