Kamala Harris is our Democratic nominee, and I’m proud to endorse her. The progress we’ve made together on creating jobs, supporting public schools, teachers, and kids, and protecting our freedoms is undeniable. But the reality is that Donald Trump is a serious contender for the presidency, and he wants to destroy that progress.

Since I launched my first campaign for governor in 2017, I have made it clear the absolute necessity of beating Donald Trump at the ballot box. He’s determined to implement an agenda where abortion rights are stripped away, corporations get more power, and thousands of books are banned.

And the threats don’t end there, as far-right candidates for governor are trying to bring Trump-level extremism to the states. From North Carolina GOP nominee Mark Robinson to Kelly Ayotte in New Hampshire – MAGA extremists are running on dangerous platforms to take their states backward.

While we'll spend this week in Chicago celebrating how much Democrats have delivered thus far, we have to focus on the future, too, team, and make sure we deliver wins for Democrats up and down the ballot this November. The energy in Chicago is making it clear that we can do anything – but only if we do it together.
