Friend,

I’m here at the Democratic National Convention, and I just had the honor to cast 263 votes from the Texas delegation -- for freedom, for the future, and for the first woman to serve as the next President of the United States -- Kamala Harris!

Texas Democratic Party Chairman Gilberto Hinojosa casts votes from the Texas Delegation to nominate Kamala Harris for President of the United States

I’m proud of our state -- the home of Democratic giants like President Lyndon Baines Johnson, Governor Ann Richards, and Congresswomen Barbara Jordan and Sheila Jackson Lee. Texas is the nation’s biggest battleground state, and with 40 electoral votes, it’s the gateway to reshaping the American political landscape for generations to come.

And while I’m more optimistic than ever that we’ll make history on November 5, there’s so much work left to do, friend. It’s going to take each and every one of us, pushing together, to achieve victory on Election Night.
