John –
This week, millions of government school students returned to the classroom to start the new academic year.
But so, too, have those educrats who have made it a priority to indoctrinate students with radical leftist ideologies. Explicit books in school libraries… LGBT flags in the classroom… A blatant rejection of traditional values… All of it has seeped into the curriculum of government-run schools across our state.
In early August, before school even started, Keller ISD found itself embroiled in controversy after they demanded two students remove patriotic parking spot murals depicting former President Donald Trump. Students at Keller High School can purchase reserved parking spots and decorate them as they choose.
The only exception? The student art cannot be “offensive.” So, Keller High School administrators deemed the red, white, and blue Trump murals as just that, forcing the students to erase their artwork.
But then, Texans like you stepped up! Community leaders rushed to correct the school’s actions and allow the students to repaint their murals. Keller Mayor Armin Mazani issued a statement after the decision: “Simply put, there can be no compromise when our basic and foundational freedoms are at stake.”
Texas Scorecard has made exposing the radical indoctrination and abuse in public schools a top priority in our daily coverage. Whether or not you have children in government-run schools does not matter; as taxpayers, we each have skin in the game and a responsibility to speak out.
Your support of Texas Scorecard allows us to report on the indoctrination that occurs in our government-run schools. A gift [[link removed]] of $200, $110, or even $75 gives us the resources we need to continue monitoring Texas classrooms so that Texans can be informed and engaged.
