John, Not only am I in Chicago to attend the Democratic National Convention, but I am also addressing the nation on Wednesday to rally support behind our Democratic presidential ticket, Kamala Harris and Tim Walz.
In July, I was proud to announce my endorsement of Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. My support goes far beyond politics — with Kamala as our next President, we will have a commander-in-chief who has demonstrated her powers of leadership and empathy. Kamala has what it takes to go up against Donald Trump and win. She has the unique ability to energize the Democratic Party base and we must rally around her so she can become the next President of the United States. I am in the historic city of Chicago to support this consequential moment with Kamala. As I prepare my remarks for Wednesday, I am full of hope for the future of the party, and for our country. By working together in partnership, we can accomplish great things for our country. With Kamala as a partner in the White House, we can make that progress happen not only in Maryland but for the whole country. Kamala Harris will move us toward a brighter future for all. She is the fighter we need to realize the full promise of our nation—everything we do from now until November matters.
